CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS NOW OPEN
January 20, 2026 — An exciting literary project invites writers to explore dark corners of their imagination. Volume 1, Galleon Dreaming of DILIM: Anthology of Dark Fiction from the Philippine Diaspora requests submissions of short fiction, poetry, and art to explore the trade era and galleons that brought merchant wares across the oceans.
The publication accepts submissions from writers who dare to delve into horror, psychological suspense, the macabre, and re-tellings of mythology that honor the rich history of the Philippines.
The anthology celebrates and expands on a centuries-long tradition of storytelling and will showcase contemporary voices to explore and redefine fear, darkness, and the unknown.
From folklore-inspired horror to modern psychological thrillers, from supernatural tales to explorations of depth in the human psyche, the collection presents a diverse range of perspectives on what frightens, unsettles, or haunts us.
The anthology publishes fresh perspectives on typical themes of colonization, violence, and trauma and welcomes submissions from emerging writers. Stories that draw from Philippine mythology, history, and contemporary life, or explore universal themes of fear and darkness are welcome.
Works to be submitted in English. Translation support may be available.
